IB PhilosophyThe aims of the Philosophy programme at HL and SL are to enable students to:
. develop an intellectually independent and creative way of thinking . relate their philosophical understanding to other disciplines, and to personal and civic life . formulate arguments in a rational and logical way . examine critically their own experience and their ideological and cultural biases . become aware of the plurality of philosophical traditions . develop a way of thinking that draws on personal reflection and a knowledge of philosophical traditions. IGSCE PhiloshophyThis course, with its emphasis on Philosophy and Ethics, provides an opportunity for students to follow a coherent programme of study, balanced in terms of breadth and depth, and supports the study of Christianity and/or one or two other principal religions
